Is imitation grass the right choice for you?
Many people are nervous about installing imitation grass in their garden. This is not surprising. There is a huge range of products on offer. What kind of grass is needed? How is it installed? Will it be durable? Will it be hard to maintain? These concerns are easy to deal with!
How do you choose the grass? This is really personal. A good way is to decide on the degree of realism that you want. In general, more realistic imitation grass surfaces can cost a bit more. They often use more than one type of artificial grass, and may use a thatched layer. The appearance can be amazingly realistic. You should have a look at the different grasses on offer and decide what you like. People’s ideas on what grass should look like can vary.
How do you get the grass? Imitation grass from The Grass Factory is available from our approved dealers throughout the UK, and can be delivered direct to your home.
How is imitation grass installed? The installation instructions for imitation grass are available on our website. The grass is usually installed on a base of compacted aggregate. Some people decide to have it installed by the dealer: many of our dealers offer an installation service.
Will it be hard to maintain? No. Artificial grass is designed to have very low maintenance needs. All you will need to do is remove loose debris such as leaves that might blow onto the laws, and occasionally you may want to use some weed-killer in case any weeds have grown on top. The maintenance for imitation grass is much less than what is needed for a real lawn. It will save money too! No money is spent on things like fertiliser or other lawn care products.
